How To Be Confident!

Hello guys and gals.

Growing up I was a very quiet, shy girl. I like to think that as the years have gone by, I have become more confident. In this blog post I'm going to give you some tips of mine on how to feel more confident. Enjoy!

-- Always do your best to please your own eyes --
Just to clear things up, I don't mean put loads of makeup on, dress like a supermodel. I mean, if one day you want to curl your hair and wear a little bit of makeup, then do. If the next day you feel like putting your hair up in a bun, no makeup, not a lot of thought into your clothes, then that's fine too!
Make sure you are comfortable in whatever you're wearing.
The way that you dress and present yourself can change your attitude and thoughts in so many ways. If you're happy with the way you look and are comfortable, then it's more likely you will think positively and have a more positive impact on others.

-- Get rid of that paranoia --
You do it, I do it, everyone does it. We all think people are staring and talking about us in public. In fact, they probably aren't. The media makes us think that as men and women we have to look like a specific genre.
As women, we should be athletic, with perfect hair, and perfect skin. Wearing designer clothes, with the aim to please others, not ourselves.
As men, you should be muscular and toned. Tanned as if you've been on holiday. The perfect hairstyle and facial hair.

Just because you do not look like these airbrushed models it does not mean that you look out of place, or that people are judging you. Your style or size does not determine who you are. It is your personality that does that.

-- Think like you want to be seen --
It sounds stupid, but if you think you look confident and adjust the way you walk, talk and even think about what you are doing at the time in a different way, you can slowly make yourself more confidently over time. You're not faking being confident, you're training your brain to realise that you can be confident. And that being confident feels great!

I hope some of these tips help you as much as they've helped me. If you have any other tips feel free to leave them in the comments section!

Seeya later,
Chels xx
